Privacy Policy
Effective 8 November 2026. Espressotally is an espresso shot log for Android, published by Loadcircle Ltd (England and Wales). This policy describes the whole of our data practices, and it is short because the app has almost no data practices to describe: the log lives on your phone.
What the app does
Espressotally keeps your coffee log — bags, shots and gear — in a database inside the app's own private storage on your device. The app uploads nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no sync and no server of ours that holds a copy.
What we collect
- Nothing on our servers. We operate no backend that receives your log; there is nothing to receive it.
- No analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting. The app contains none of these.
- The only network traffic is between the app and Google Play Billing, when the app asks Play about the unlock and when you buy it. That exchange is with Google, governed by Google's own privacy policy.
What is stored on your device
- Your bags: roaster, name, origin, process, roast date, rest days and the grind step you dialled for that bag.
- Your shots: the bag they belong to, the date, the grind step, dose, yield, time, a verdict and any note you typed.
- Your gear: machines, baskets and grinders you chose to record, with their names, details and step ranges.
- Your unlock: whether this install owns the one-time unlock, kept on the device and re-checked with Google Play.
- No location, ever. The app does not request the device's location and has no use for it.
Exporting
Your log leaves the phone only when you export it — CSV, JSON, the PDF sheet, or a backup file — and you choose the destination through Android's own share sheet. Those files are yours; the app does not keep a copy in the cloud, because there is no cloud.
The permission
The app declares the Internet permission. Its only use is the conversation with Google Play Billing described above. Nothing you log is ever sent anywhere by the app.
Purchases
The unlock is a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment; we never see your card or your payment details. The app only learns whether the purchase exists.
Children
Espressotally is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you may contact us about personal data we hold. As described above, we hold none on our side. Deleting the app deletes the log with it — nothing survives on a server, because there is no server.
